Why ideological hulks blame poor Amis for islamophobia?

I just want to point out two articles wrtitten by Martin Amis for La Repubblica:

“Se in Europa nascono sempre più figli dell'Islam” (28/06/2007)

“Perché i relitti ideologici mi accusano di islamofobia” (13/10/2007)

The second one is a reply to the article of Yasmin Alibhai-Brown: “Why are we Muslims so self-destructive?” (The Independent).

The most important thing, other than Amis’ islamophobic opinions, is the fact that a newspaper like La Repubblica allowed that relevance sticking out his articles on its front page.
